First French Empire snuffbox with clock

Beginning of the 19th century

Snuff box in thuya and tortoiseshell, with a watch on the lid and a music sur plateau in the lower compartment. The intermediate compartment, being reserved for tabacco.
The working watch has an enamelled dial and a gold bezel.
The music plays a tune of about one minute. The sixteen and seventeen teeth are arranged on both sides of the disc. On-demand triggering by pusher.
