Organette 39 touches à cartons perforés
MANOPAN
Patented in 1886 by Pietschmann of Berlin, this 39keyed organette uses both booklets of perforated cardboard and endless ones, proposing a huge tune-list of dance-music, operettes extracts, even national anthems.
A whole range of mechanical reed organs reached the French market, creating competition with French manufacturers. Cheap and popular, they spread musical culture in parlours and even on the streets.
