Famous two-volume folio edition of the Art of the organ building of the Benedictine monk Dom François Lamathe Bedos de Celles de Salelles, born on January 24, 1709 in Caux, near Béziers, died at the Abbey of Saint-Denis near Paris on November 25, 1779.
Particularly useful, this treatise represents the quintessence of theoretical and practical knowledge of the construction of the instrument-King. Still current and a source of references for professionals, this book was reprinted in facsimile in the exact format by Laget editions in 1976, in 300 copies
In the last part are studied the organized hurdy-gurdy, the serinette or bird organ and the mechanical chamber organ.
