Black-Forest Organclock with automata
Plain cherrywood cabinet ornate with semi columns, houses the clockwork and the barrel organ. In top showcase, clockwork mechanism and two trumpet players automata appear behind the façade in fine original paintings. NOTE: the fun scatological scene in the background of the theatre, behind the militaries (last picture of the serie).
The full cabinet and wooden parts are healthy without worm holes and without any restoration throughout the age.The clock mechanism made with bronze cogs is in playing condition with pendulum and weights.The 23 key cylinder organ in good condition is two rows of pipes, flutes and bourdons and plays 9 tunes. The tunes list is on show on the inner part of cabinet side door; with another document relative to the purchase by the previous owner.The organ is in playing condition and operates the automata.
