Ets Gastaud et Raibaut Succ.
Circa 1925
Automatic coin-operated piano, Model JAZBANDOR No. 14839 - 540 - Metal frame No. C-14340; fifty-four note cabinet shape, manufactured after the First World War by the successors of Charles Amelotti’s widow.
Instrumental composition
Metal-framed piano, crossed strings with an hard pinblock, played by a 39 note keyboard; equipped with a manual mute rail.
Set of percussion with switchtable controls:
Snare drum with four sticks, coupled with sistres,
Bass Drum and cymbal with a common stick,
Wood-block with two tones and two sticks,
8 Tubular bells each hit by hammers.
Mechanism
This automatic piano works with a spring-driven motor. Winding by crank on the side. INsert a coin and the piano play one tune.
Perfect playing condition.
Le remontage se fait par manivelle, sur le côté. Le déclenchement se fait par un monnayeur à bascule, venant bloquer la rotation du régulateur à boule au sommet du moteur. En parfait état de fonctionnement.
It benefited from the advance of the electrical distribution network, which means that it was also driven by an electric motor, mounted in parallel to the mechanical system and controlled by a series of still present switches.
Cylinder
Interchangeable original cylinder plays 10 tunes.
This musical instrument, restored in 2012/2013, by Le Ludion - Toulouse, plays perfectly.
Estimation 2000/3000 €
