"Aubade de Pierrot à la Lune" automaton

The myth of the forsaken Pierrot is a poetic expression frequently used during the 19^th century.

Here the automaton, model of Gustave Vichy, is balancing on the moon crescent. He sticks his tongue out at it, playing the mandolin in a nonchalant manner and the moon, mischievously, responds.
